Gather around our cheetah area for a Meet and Greet! During this afternoon event, you’ll meet Tavi the cheetah, and Yara, his yellow Lab BFF. And, you’ll have a relaxed Meet and Greet with Jackie Navarro, Wild Wonders’ Founder and Director.
Tavi and Yara are great friends, and have been inseparable since they were introduced a little over 2 years ago.
Jackie will tell you about Tavi’s rough start in life, how and why he came to Wild Wonders, and why the decision was made to bring Yara in as his friend.
Since 2007, Wild Wonders has been the forever home to cheetah ambassadors. During Jackie’s over 20+ trips to Africa, she fell in love with these animals and became aware of the very bleak outlook for them in the wild. Her connections with multiple cheetah conservation organizations in South Africa have made Wild Wonders a true partner in the fight to save these majestic animals.
Jackie will talk about a few of these organizations, the programs that they have in place, and the successes and challenges they have faced.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to cheetah conservation.
Cheetah, Cheese, and Crackers will take place on Sunday, April 21, from 11:00 – 12:00. The price for this very special event is $125/person. This includes the Meet and Greets with Tavi, Yara, and Jackie, along with wine, cheese, and crackers. Only guests ages 21+ are permitted.
