Nature Finds A Way
So when two young bearcats joined us, we made responsible plans and ordered a birth control implant for the female. Our veterinarian felt they were too young to breed—but while we were waiting for the shipment to arrive, nature had other ideas.

One March morning, a keeper heard faint squeaks coming from the bearcat habitat.
Three tiny cubs had arrived overnight.
We watched carefully throughout the day and evening, and when it became clear that their mother, Shiva, wasn’t quite sure what to do, our team stepped in to hand-raise the cubs to ensure they were safe and thriving.

They may have been small, but they quickly made their presence known. Today, Indah, Sabah, and Wolfman have grown into curious, confident, and engaging ambassadors—and they celebrated their 10th birthdays in March.
