Growing Our Ambassador Collection and our First Cheetah
Over the decades, our ambassador family has grown to include alligators, servals, foxes, lynx, coatis, rescued iguanas, orphaned porcupines, surrendered pythons, non-releasable opossums, armadillos, and so many more — each with a story to tell about their habitat and the role they play in keeping our planet healthy.
Those stories became the heart of our Education Programs, reaching thousands of students every year and inspiring a love of wildlife across Southern California.
A Major Milestone
In 2006, a remarkable cheetah named Victor arrived from a conservation organization in South Africa.
Our largest ambassador — with the biggest heart — Victor helped raise thousands of dollars for cheetah conservation and became a powerful symbol of Wild Wonders’ mission.
Today, his legacy lives on in our logo and in our continued commitment to wildlife conservation around the world.
